Racing Sails

The Evolution Sails group is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand and serves as the hub of our racing sail design and construction.

We offer the most advanced sail membrane facility in the world, the “EM2 Membrane Plant” in Aukland NZ. 

Our membranes are laid up and laminated in the state of the art membrane plant in Aukland and then the “blanks” are shipped to our Deltaville lost where they are finished. From design to finish every race sail we build is built in the best way possible to meet your needs.

We also cut and build the majority of our paneled racing sails in our Virginia loft aided by either in-house design or utilizing the design resources of the group.

The Evolution group has some of the best sail designers in the world with multiple America's Cup and Whitbread campaigns under their belts.

Whether you race under ORC, ORR, PHRF or in a one-design fleet we understand that you want to perform to your potential, and we will provide the tools to do just that.

We do not have set race product lines as we understand that every sail for each boat is a custom project and the best possible construction method and materials are crucial for creating the ideal sail.

Our sailmakers are hands-on experts who are directly involved with measuring, designing and building your sails. They can help you determine the best addition to your race inventory, offer tuning tips to get better results on the water, or suggest alternative solutions that will help you achieve your best possible performance.
